Nursing doesn't break people. But the conditions nurses work in do. The chronic exhaustion, the moral distress, the invisible weight of holding it all.
The CT Nurse Wellness Summit™ isn't a feel-good day away from work. It's an intentional pause within the profession, built to help you restore your energy, reconnect to your purpose, and move forward with clarity and self-trust.
This is what workforce sustainability actually looks like.
Reflections from a few attendees of last year's Summit on what it felt like to be seen, supported, and restored alongside their peers.
You love nursing but feel like the system is slowly breaking you
You want real tools for restoration, not platitudes
You're ready to lead your own well-being, not just manage your burnout
You want to be in a room full of people who actually get it
Ground your body, quiet the noise, and arrive fully present.
Sound healing · Meditation · Qi Gong · Yoga · Somatic movement
Reconnect to what brought you to nursing and what will keep you there.
Nurse intuition · Meaning-making · Peer connection · Wellness Lounge
Move forward with clarity, tools, and a community behind you.
Keynote · Facilitated breakouts · Integration session · Closing celebration
Sessions rotate between the auditorium and multipurpose space

Dr. Farah Laurent built Nurses Making Moves from her own experience navigating nursing without a roadmap, and turned that into an international coaching brand that has helped thousands of nurses build bold careers, launch businesses, and lead with purpose. She is a sought-after coach, author, speaker, and national conference host whose work sits at the intersection of nurse empowerment, professional sustainability, and personal agency.
At the CT Nurse Wellness Summit, Dr. Laurent anchors the Rise phase of the day. After a morning of restoration and reconnection, her keynote is built for the moment when you are clear, grounded, and finally ready to move. Nurses leave her sessions not just inspired but with a concrete understanding of what it looks like to lead their own career, their own well-being, and their own next chapter.
